Make Design: the Studio of Lisa Milestone brings a fresh, cheerful approach to design and art direction with distinct looks for each client. Lisa's feminine aesthetic embodies sophistication & fun. Her design style is whimsical, playing with color & pattern. Make Design reflects Lisa's twelve years of art direction and graphic design experience. Her clients range from fashion catalog & retail to small boutiques, magazine & book publishing, packaging, branding, business collateral and custom stationery.

After graduating with a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design, Lisa moved to NYC where she designed for Mademoiselle & Allure magazines. She then landed her dream job as the Art Director for Delia*s catalog, gaining a solid branding experience. Eventually a move across the country brought her to San Francisco where she transitioned into book design and children's books & products, art directing at Weldon Owen for clients like Gymboree, Pottery Barn Kids & Williams-Sonoma.

In 2007, Lisa launched the Make Design Studio. Working out of her sunny office in Oakland, CA, she is constantly inspired by nature, fashion, type, crafts and her two little dachshunds. Make Design is dedicated to using environmentally responsible resources to create a unique vision with an emphasis on quality and charm.
